The universe of Luminous Ages starts with the world Ekratoria. Ekratoria is big and constantly evolving. But is itself is a mirror of the dream world Oniro. Whatever happens in Oniro eventually manifests in Ekratoria. Oniro, because it is the dream world, is often very absurd, surreal and goes against the laws of reality. Dream magic is the energy that resides in both worlds but is in the purest form in Oniro and is used by the three groups of mages, Luminaries, Captivaries and the Chosen. On this website we will release various tales that occur within the realms of Luminous Ages.
The creator – Anthony Christou
Anthony Christou is an illustrator, concept artist and writer. He works with some leading industry clients such as Disney, Wolfcreek Productions and Grinding Gear Games. As well as working in the entertainment industry as an artist, It has long been his goal to create his own stories and universes. Luminous Ages is Anthony’s major passion project and creation which he hopes to work on for an indefinite period of time.
His artistic influences include: Salvador Dali, Leonardo Davinci, Brian Froud, John Howe, Todd Mcfarlane, Mike Mignola, Guilermo Del Toro and more. The movies and stories that Anthony grew up with and inspired him to make Luminous Ages include: Never Ending Story, The Labyrinth, The Wizard of Oz, Star Wars, Dark Chrystal, Harry Potter, Lord of the rings and Indiana Jones. The ancient mythologies of the Greeks, Egyptians, Sumerians and Chinese also have inspired his art and stories. Anthony’s goal is to bring a Mediterranean(Greek), Middle Eastern and Asian aesthetics to comics. This is because presently comics is being heavily represented by the far east in manga or far west with American comics. No one is doing the in between.
